Welcome and thank you for visiting Carla's Champions.
Carla's Champions is a Michigan nonprofit corporation and a public charity exempt from tax pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our mission is to provide financial support and social services for young families battling cancer. Any household in which there are children age 22 and under and in which a parent or child is battling cancer may apply for assistance by contacting manager@carlaschampions.com.
Carla's Champions was founded in memory of Carla Caputo Modderno, who lost her battle to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 30 year's old, when her daughter Becca was 20 months old.
This website is designed to provide information about our activities, the families, organizations and researchers we support, our financial status, the ways that you can help us fund our activities and how we can be contacted. We hope you find valuable and educational information here. Please do not hesitate to contact manager@carlaschampions.com with question and suggestions.

We are proud to state that 100% of our expenditures further our charitable purposes.
All of the services and goods required to operate Carla's Champions are donated. Therefore, we have ZERO administrative expenses.

I am the mother of CJ, a 3 year old with medulloblastoma. First I would like to thank you for all the help you have given us. Both of the very generous checks you have sent us both seemed to arrive just at the right time. Both were quite a surprise also. What touched me the most was how you reached out to us in our time of need because you heard about my son in the paper and you know what we are going through.
As you know, it is difficult to reach out during such hard times (emotionally and financially) and for a complete stranger to reach out and help us with almost no questions asked just really blows me away. We are so grateful for all you do. I know your daughter is very proud, as I would be. . . .
You all have been such a blessing.
